Beth Hart, a Los Angeles native is a blues-influenced vocalist and former street performer. In 1995, she made her debut in the music industry with Immortal. Her candid personality and enthralling musicianship garnered attention, as well as her live shows that were emotional and her voice that was compared to Janis Joplin. Chuck Taylor, Billboard's October 2nd issue stated that Hart is "the the epitomize of a natural woman" and that she is "bawdy and funny, and chatty with her choices of spiced languages, free-wheeling and free-wheeling." However, that's nothing compared to her stage presence. The tall, lanky , tall singer/songwriter walks and screams songs with Mick Jagger . At other times, she's taken an area on the piano or in the center stage with her legs placed over chairs, and her voice so fragile and painful, it's hard to tell whether she's crying or if you'll. Hart was a teenager who participated in amateur competitions and also experienced the same reactions. However, she had reservations about the music industry before she embarked on her professional career. However, traveling the world over proved detrimental to the group, and Hart disappeared from the scene for almost four years. This was a period that was spent contemplating her feelings and tackling problems through writing music. After that, determined to give her career a second chance, she returned in 1999 with the critically acclaimed Screamin' for My Supper The album allowed Hart to develop her songwriting skills with vulnerable, honest tunes about facing life's issues.
