Dua lipa is an English singer/songwriter born August 22, 1995 in London. Dua Lipa signed to Warner Bros Records in 2014 following her work as a model. The label released her self-titled debut album in 2017. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number three in the U.K. Albums Chart and released eight singles, including Be the One I.D.G.A.F and New Rules, the U.K. number-one single New Rules which peaked at six in the United States. Lipa won the Brit Awards as a British female solo artists and British debut act in 2018. Her album was certified platinum worldwide. Dua Lipa was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London on 22 August 1995. By her maternal grandmother, Dua Lipa is Bosnian descendance. The ancestors of her can be traced all the way back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. Her two great-grandparents are historians. She has a brother Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina.
